Born in India, raised in Alabama and Kansas, now Chicago based, Anjana Raj is the founder and contributor of Bangle Banger. Anjana is of South Indian decent and identifies both as Tamil and Malayalee. 

This virtual space opened in March 2014 as an avenue to curate the expression of a desi diasporic style identity, and to further explore the culmination of art, desi culture, self identity, and fashion. Anjana is the creator of the hashtag #ReclaimTheBindi and a catalyst for the RTB movement which has its own online presence. 

Her collaborative work with other desi artists globally include Two Brown Girls. Bangle Banger features include The Kajal Magazine and The Aerogram.
